Υπόθεση:
After the death of the father the Haringbauer, Kathrin is left alone with her little brother Toni. The homestead is in debt, she can’t rescue it. There’s only Hans Porgauer, son of the rich innkeeper and communal councillor, who doesn’t know about his son’s love to Kathrin. He wants a rich girl for his daughter-in-law. Hans has a job in a hotel in the town miles away. His boss, Mr. Baumann, would have him as son-in-law for his daughter, but Hans refuses. The homestead should be auctioned, and Kathrin sends Hans a telegram to help her. Mrs. Baumann lets the telegram vanish, wanting Hans as husband for her daughter. So the homestead is purchased by auction from the old Porgauer, who loves Kathrin too. When the girl, desperate why Hans didn’t answer, visits the hotel, Mrs. Baumann tells her, that Hans is engaged with her daughter Helga. She goes back home and accepts the offer of Porgauer to work in his inn, because she can come and stay there with her brother. Porgauer proposed a marriage to her, but she declines. A villain steals money from Porgauer, and it looks like Toni is the thief. He runs away and is caught by the villain and his companion. They lock him in a barrack in the woods, and set it on fire. In the last second he is rescued at least from Porgauer, and the matter is cleared by the villains, who are unmasked as the real thieves. Hans and Kathrin finally meet and the misunderstandings are cleared. They will marry, and Toni will live now in the house of Porgauer – his new grandfather.Αγόρι ηθοποιούς
